Cleaning 

Modern vacuum cleaners have high suction power which can pull out treads from the rug . Avoid vacuuming with beater bar, instead use an attachment with small brush.

For minor spills, use a damp cloth with cold water and liquid detergent. Gently damp it around the stain starting from center.  Do not use bleach on the rug.  It is important to treat any stains with this method as early as possible to avoid further damage to the rug.

Color

Test the rug for colorfastness: To prevent damage, a rug should be tested for colorfastness before being cleaned with any kind of solution. Use a white towel to dab the cleaning agent on a small area of the rug. Examine the towel to check whether any color has transferred. Check the test area again to be sure that the colors have not faded or bled after allowing it to dry completely.

Wrinkles or Folding on edges

It is common to have wrinkles on a brand new rug . To get rid of them, the rug should be reverse rolled for a couple of minutes and edges should be rolled in the same manner. Repeat this process few times and within a week the rug should be perfectly flat

Odor

Rugs are tightly packed for shipping, freshly opened rug from a packaging might have a slight odor of dyes and yarn. Do not worry about it, the odor will be go away in couple of days
